Dec. 5-8 - The 2008/09 Met Oval BU16 and BU18 travel to Lancaster, CA for the first United States Soccer Development Academy Showcase of the 08/09 season..
The BU18 record 3 wins and no loses with 9 goals for and none against. BU16 had 2 victories and only one loss.
The BU16s and the 18's are 7-4-1 overall.

Brooklyn Knights PDL & U-20 Tryouts
December 15th, 2009 On Saturday December 19th we will host Brooklyn Knights tryouts for our PDL team & U-20 team. U-20 tryouts begin at 12 pm. PDL tryouts begin at 2 pm sharp. December 15th, 2009 We are proud to announce that Joe Balsamo will be returning as Head coach and Steve Vogt has been named our new G.M. The Met Oval Board of Directors welcome Steve to the Club. Steve has been a long time member of GH Metros as a player and coach, and has spent many years at Met Oval. His time included overseeing in the orignal development of Met Oval in 2001. His passion for Soccer and The Met Oval/Brooklyn Knights make him a good fit. We feel we have created a great direction for our PDL Team.

Is the oldest soccer field in continuous use in the United States. Many of the country's greatest players played there at some time. Today, the Oval is operated by the Metropolitan Oval Foundation, Inc., a not-for-profit corporation dedicated to youth soccer (U-23 and younger) in New York City.
